Description

A quick and tasty white chicken chili recipe made on the stove top, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 can (15 oz) white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup corn, frozen or canned
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the shredded chicken, white beans, green chilies, chicken broth, corn, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in the sour cream until well combined.
  5. If desired, add shredded cheese and let it melt before serving.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños or cayenne pepper.
