Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion, garlic, and carrots to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Roll out one pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
- Pour the meat mixture into the crust.
- Cover with the second pie crust, sealing the edges. Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape.
- Brush the top with beaten egg.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
