Description
A crispy grilled sandwich featuring whole wheat bread, sliced roasted turkey breast, fresh guacamole, and melted cheddar cheese, grilled on stovetop pan.
Ingredients
2 slices sliced whole wheat sandwich bread
3 oz sliced roasted turkey breast
2 tbsp fresh guacamole (avocado, lime juice, salt, diced tomato, onion, cilantro)
2 slices sliced cheddar cheese
1 tbsp butter
Instructions
Butter one side of each bread slice evenly.
Place one slice, buttered side down, on a heated stovetop pan over medium heat.
Layer the cheddar cheese evenly on the bread slice in the pan.
Add the sliced roasted turkey breast on top of the cheese.
Spread fresh guacamole over the turkey breast.
Top with the second bread slice, buttered side up.
Grill for 3-4 minutes until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
Carefully flip and grill the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
Remove from pan and let rest for 1 minute.
Cut the sandwich diagonally into two halves and stack slightly offset on a white rectangular plate.
Serve with a small ramekin of extra guacamole on the side.
