Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 8-10 rice paper wrappers
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef, Thai basil, soy sauce, fish sauce, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
- Soak the rice paper wrappers in warm water until soft, about 10-15 seconds.
- Place a small amount of the beef mixture in the center of each wrapper.
- Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling and roll tightly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the rolls until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with dipping sauce of your choice.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add chopped chili peppers to the beef mixture.
- These rolls can be served with a sweet chili sauce for dipping.
- Make sure not to overfill the rice paper wrappers to prevent tearing.
