Chicken Roll Ups

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4

Description

Pan-seared and baked chicken breast fillets stuffed with a creamy cream cheese and spinach filling flavored with garlic and dried Italian herbs, served sliced to showcase the spiral cross-section.

Ingredients

4 chicken breast fillets
4 oz cream cheese
1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp dried Italian herbs
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, chopped spinach, minced garlic, dried Italian herbs, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Place each chicken breast fillet flat and spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over it.
Roll up each fillet tightly and secure with toothpicks if needed.
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
Pan-sear the chicken roll ups, browning each side for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
Remove toothpicks, slice each roll into 1-inch pieces, and arrange in a row on a white rectangular plate.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
