Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water and 1 cup of sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the cranberries to the sugar syrup and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove the cranberries from the heat and let them cool in the syrup for 1 hour.
  4. Drain the cranberries and roll them in the additional sugar until well coated.
  5. Spread the sugared cranberries on a baking sheet to dry for at least 1 hour before serving.
