Description
A delicious and easy-to-make salmon dish glazed with sticky hoisin sauce and served with a refreshing cucumber vinegar.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar (for cucumber)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (for cucumber)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
- Place salmon fillets on a baking sheet and brush the hoisin mixture over them.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through.
- In another bowl, combine sliced cucumber, rice vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Serve the salmon with the cucumber vinegar on the side.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in the hoisin mixture for 30 minutes before baking.
- Adjust the sweetness of the cucumber vinegar by adding more or less sugar.
- This dish pairs well with steamed rice or quinoa.
