Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 2 cups soda water
- Ice
- Wood chips for smoking
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine blackberries, sugar, and water. Cook over medium heat until the blackberries break down and the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and skins, creating a blackberry syrup.
- In a large pitcher, combine the blackberry syrup, bourbon, and lemon juice. Stir well.
- Prepare your smoker with wood chips and smoke the mixture for about 10 minutes.
- Fill glasses with ice and pour the smoked blackberry mixture over the ice.
- Top with soda water and garnish with fresh blackberries.
