Description
A delicious and easy recipe for sweet and tender carrots cooked in a slow cooker with maple syrup.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds of carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
- 1/4 cup of maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
Instructions
- Place the carrots in the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, melted butter, salt, pepper, and cinnamon.
- Pour the maple mixture over the carrots and stir to coat.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the carrots are tender.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg.
- These carrots pair well with roasted meats.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
