A rich and creamy slow cooker hot chocolate recipe that is perfect for warming up on a cold day.
Ingredients
- 4 cups of milk
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine the milk, heavy cream, chocolate chips, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Stir the mixture until the chocolate chips are well incorporated.
- Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Once the hot chocolate is heated through and the chocolate is melted, stir well before serving.
- Serve with whipped cream or marshmallows on top, if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
