Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon dried sage
  • 8 cups cubed bread
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add the onion and celery to the skillet and sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in the sage, salt, and pepper.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes and sausage mixture.
  6. Pour the chicken broth over the mixture and stir until well combined.
  7. Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish and dot with butter.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top.
