Honey Glazed Salmon Bowl

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 1

Description

Pan-seared and oven-glazed salmon fillet with a honey soy glaze, served over jasmine rice with steamed broccoli and sliced avocado.

Ingredients

Salmon fillet (6 oz)
Honey (2 tbsp)
Soy sauce (2 tbsp)
Garlic (1 clove, minced)
Ginger (1 tsp, grated)
Cooked jasmine rice (1 cup)
Steamed broccoli florets (1/2 cup)
Sliced avocado (1/4 cup)
Sesame seeds (1 tsp)
Chopped green onions (1 tbsp)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the glaze.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat and place the salmon fillet skin-side down.
Sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
Brush the salmon generously with the honey soy glaze and transfer the pan to the oven.
Bake for 6-8 minutes until the salmon is tender and flakes easily with a fork.
To assemble the bowl, place cooked jasmine rice in the center of a bowl.
Arrange steamed broccoli florets on one side and fan sliced avocado on the opposite side.
Place the glazed salmon fillet on top of the rice.
Drizzle any remaining glaze over the salmon.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions evenly over the bowl before serving.
