Deliciously chewy and sweet, these Salted Caramel Rice Krispie Treats are a delightful twist on the classic recipe, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
- Remove from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring until well coated.
- Pour half of the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan and press down firmly.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the pressed mixture and sprinkle with half of the sea salt.
- Add the remaining Rice Krispies mixture on top and press down again.
- Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle with the remaining sea salt.
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brown butter instead of regular butter.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Feel free to add chocolate chips for an extra treat!
