Description

Deliciously chewy and sweet, these Salted Caramel Rice Krispie Treats are a delightful twist on the classic recipe, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt


Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  3. Remove from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring until well coated.
  4. Pour half of the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan and press down firmly.
  5. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the pressed mixture and sprinkle with half of the sea salt.
  6. Add the remaining Rice Krispies mixture on top and press down again.
  7. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle with the remaining sea salt.
  8. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use brown butter instead of regular butter.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Feel free to add chocolate chips for an extra treat!
