Description

Delicious salted caramel apple crumble bars that are perfect for fall, combining sweet apples with a rich caramel topping and a crumbly oat crust.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together oats, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
  4. Spread the diced apples evenly over the crust.
  5. Drizzle the salted caramel sauce over the apples.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture on top of the caramel and apples.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use a mix of sweet and tart apples.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • These bars can be served warm or cold, and are great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
