Description
Delicious salted caramel apple crumble bars that are perfect for fall, combining sweet apples with a rich caramel topping and a crumbly oat crust.
Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups apples, peeled and diced
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix together oats, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
- Spread the diced apples evenly over the crust.
- Drizzle the salted caramel sauce over the apples.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture on top of the caramel and apples.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a mix of sweet and tart apples.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- These bars can be served warm or cold, and are great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
