Ingredients

Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, egg, salt, nutmeg, and black pepper.
- Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
- Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into a long rope.
- Cut the ropes into bite-sized pieces and shape them with a fork.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gnocchi until they float.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and serve with your favorite sauce.

- For a richer flavor, use roasted pumpkin instead of canned puree.
- Make sure not to overwork the dough to keep the gnocchi light and fluffy.
