Description

A delicious and easy-to-make pumpkin dump cake that combines the flavors of pumpkin and spice cake mix, perfect for fall gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) spice cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well.
  3. Pour the pumpkin mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the dry spice cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture.
  5. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the cake mix.
  6. Drizzle melted butter over the top of the cake mix.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for added flavor.
  • This cake can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
  • For a sweeter cake, increase the sugar to 1 1/4 cups.
