A delightful and festive pumpkin cheese ball that makes for the perfect fall appetizer, combining cream cheese, pumpkin puree, and spices for a delicious treat.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and pumpkin puree until smooth.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped pecans, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, pumpkin pie spice, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
- Once chilled, remove from the refrigerator and roll the cheese ball in additional chopped pecans if desired.
- Serve with crackers or fresh vegetables.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- This cheese ball can be made a day in advance for convenience.
