Description

Popcorn Chicken is a delicious and crispy snack made from bite-sized pieces of chicken that are breaded and fried to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Coat each piece of marinated chicken in the flour mixture.
  5. Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double coat the chicken by dipping it back in buttermilk and then in the flour mixture again.
  • Adjust the spices according to your taste preference.
  • Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to prevent the chicken from becoming greasy.
