Pizza Skulls are a fun and creative twist on traditional pizza, shaped like skulls for a spooky and festive treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the dough and cut into skull shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Place half of the skulls on a baking sheet. Add pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni on top.
- Cover with the remaining skulls and seal the edges.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the filling with your favorite pizza toppings.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
- Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
