Ingredients
- 1 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat until bubbly.
- Stir in the pecans and pour the mixture into a greased cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and remaining butter.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Pour the batter over the pecan mixture in the cake pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
