Description

Delicious pecan pie bars that are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, butter, and granulated sugar until crumbly.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  6. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  7. Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust.
  8. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until set.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark corn syrup.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
  • These bars can be served warm or cold.
