Description
Delicious pecan pie bars that are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, butter, and granulated sugar until crumbly.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven.
- In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Stir in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until set.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark corn syrup.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
- These bars can be served warm or cold.
