Description

Mississippi Sin Quiche is a delicious and savory dish that combines the rich flavors of cream cheese, sausage, and spices, baked in a flaky crust for a perfect breakfast or brunch option.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread the sausage and cheese mixture evenly in the pie crust.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the sausage mixture.
  • This quiche can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
  • Feel free to substitute the sausage with bacon or ham for different flavors.
