Mini Beef Wellington Bites are delicious, bite-sized appetizers that combine tender beef, mushrooms, and flaky pastry, perfect for any party or gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef tenderloin, cut into small cubes
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped mushrooms until they are soft and any moisture has evaporated. Season with salt and pepper.
- In the same skillet, add the beef cubes and sear them until browned on all sides. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into small squares.
- Spread a small amount of Dijon mustard on each pastry square.
- Place a spoonful of the mushroom mixture and a piece of beef on top of the mustard.
- Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

- Make sure the beef is not overcooked; it should be medium-rare for the best flavor.
- You can prepare the filling ahead of time and assemble the bites just before baking.
