Turkey Guacamole Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Description

A crispy grilled sandwich with whole wheat bread, sharp cheddar, sliced turkey, and fresh guacamole, grilled to melty perfection.


Ingredients

2 slices whole wheat sandwich bread
3 oz sliced turkey breast
2 slices sharp cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons fresh guacamole (made from avocado, lime juice, diced tomato, cilantro, salt)
1 tablespoon butter


Instructions

Spread fresh guacamole evenly on one side of each bread slice.
Layer sliced turkey breast over guacamole on one bread slice.
Place sharp cheddar cheese slices over the turkey.
Top with the second bread slice, guacamole side down.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter.
Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill for 3 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
Carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side for another 3 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
Remove from skillet and let rest for a minute.
Cut the sandwich diagonally into two halves and stack slightly offset on a white ceramic plate.
