Description

A delicious twist on the classic pigs in a blanket, featuring spicy jalapeño poppers wrapped in flaky pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of mini sausages
  • 1 can of crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2-3 jalapeños, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Place a mini sausage at the wide end of each triangle and add a spoonful of the jalapeño cheese mixture on top.
  5. Roll the dough around the sausage and cheese mixture, starting from the wide end.
  6. Place the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
