Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef tips
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Season the beef tips with salt and pepper.
- Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and brown the beef tips on all sides.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
- Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to cook on high pressure for 25 minutes.
- Once done, allow for natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
- Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode again, stir in the slurry, and cook until the gravy thickens.
- Serve the beef tips with gravy over rice or mashed potatoes.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the beef tips in Worcestershire sauce for a few hours before cooking.
- Feel free to add vegetables like carrots or mushrooms for a heartier dish.
