Ingredients
- 200g almond flour
- 200g powdered sugar
- 150g egg whites (about 5 large eggs)
- 50g granulated sugar
- Food coloring (orange, black, purple)
- Buttercream or ganache for filling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar.
- In a separate bowl, whip egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites until fully combined.
- Divide the batter into separate bowls and add food coloring to each.
- Pipe the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in desired shapes.
- Let the macarons sit for 30-60 minutes until a skin forms on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, then let cool completely.
- Fill with buttercream or ganache and sandwich together.
