Description

A quick and delicious recipe for crispy chilli beef served over rice, perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 500g beef strips
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chilli sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  2. In a bowl, marinate the beef strips with soy sauce, cornstarch, salt, and pepper for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add garlic, ginger, and bell peppers to the pan and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Stir in the chilli sauce and sesame oil, mixing well.
  7. Serve the crispy chilli beef over the cooked rice.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double fry the beef.
  • Adjust the amount of chilli sauce to your spice preference.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
