A quick and delicious recipe for crispy chilli beef served over rice, perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 500g beef strips
- 1 cup rice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons chilli sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the rice according to package instructions.
- In a bowl, marinate the beef strips with soy sauce, cornstarch, salt, and pepper for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add garlic, ginger, and bell peppers to the pan and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the chilli sauce and sesame oil, mixing well.
- Serve the crispy chilli beef over the cooked rice.
Notes
- For extra crunch, double fry the beef.
- Adjust the amount of chilli sauce to your spice preference.
- Serve with a side of steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
