  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the flour and whisk for about 1 minute to create a roux.
  3. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Continue to cook until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  6. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  7. Serve warm over nachos or as a dip.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños or hot sauce.
