Description
A delicious and indulgent treat made with layers of chocolate, caramel, and nuts, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup of chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir until well combined and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
- Spread the melted chocolate over the cooled caramel layer.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the chocolate layer.
- Let it set in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet.
- Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.
- Can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use.
