Description

Deliciously rich brownies with a creamy cream cheese swirl, perfect for Halloween celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cream cheese mixture)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add the powdered sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, then dollop the cream cheese mixture on top. Swirl with a knife.
  8. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer and swirl again.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, add Halloween-themed sprinkles on top before baking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
