Glazed Carrots: A Must-Try Christmas and Thanksgiving Recipe!

Description

Deliciously sweet and tender glazed carrots, perfect for holiday feasts like Christmas and Thanksgiving.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the carrots. Cook for about 5 minutes until slightly tender.
  2. Drain the carrots and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Add the brown sugar, honey, salt, black pepper, and cinnamon. Stir until well combined.
  5. Add the carrots back to the pot and toss to coat them in the glaze.
  6. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are tender and the glaze is thickened.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of orange juice to the glaze.
  • These glazed carrots can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar and honey according to your taste.
