Description

Eggnog Bread Pudding is a rich and creamy dessert that combines the flavors of traditional eggnog with soft bread, making it a perfect holiday treat.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups of cubed bread
  • 4 cups of eggnog
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of raisins (optional)
  • Butter for greasing the baking dish


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggnog, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  4. Add the cubed bread to the mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. If using, fold in the raisins.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with whipped cream or a dusting of powdered sugar.
  • Can be made a day in advance and reheated before serving.
  • For a richer flavor, use brioche or challah bread.
