Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter, then add the eggnog, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
