A delightful and comforting Egg Drop Soup enhanced with a refreshing shredded ginger garnish.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, shredded
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
  3. Once the broth is boiling, stir in the cornstarch slurry and soy sauce.
  4. Reduce heat to a simmer.
  5. Beat the eggs in a bowl and slowly drizzle them into the soup while stirring gently.
  6. Add sesame oil, shredded ginger, and green onions.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a thicker soup, increase the amount of cornstarch.
