Description

A delicious and hearty casserole that combines the flavors of meatloaf with a cheesy topping, perfect for a family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, milk, and eggs.
  3. Mix until well combined and form into a loaf shape.
  4. Place the meatloaf in a greased casserole dish.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the mixture.
  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
