Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat.
- Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add the cranberries to the saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until the cranberries pop.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Using a slotted spoon, transfer the cranberries to a wire rack to cool.
- Once cooled, roll the cranberries in additional sugar if desired.
- Let them dry for about 10 minutes before serving.
