Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, butter, brown sugar, and salt to form a crust.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking pan.
- Bake the crust for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix together corn syrup, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Stir in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the mixture.
