A delicious and crispy recipe for oven-fried chicken thighs inspired by Irish flavors.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Marinate the chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat each thigh in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the coated chicken thighs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Drizzle olive oil over the chicken thighs.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil the chicken for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
- Can substitute chicken breasts if preferred.
