Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes, grated
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Grate the potatoes and place them in a clean kitchen towel to squeeze out excess moisture.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, shredded cheese, flour, green onions, beaten egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil and flatten slightly.
  6. Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
