  • Author: Chef Shana
  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 12 deviled eggs
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Creepy Deviled Eggs for Halloween are a fun and spooky twist on the classic deviled eggs, perfect for Halloween parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Black olives (for decoration)
  • Red food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot of water and bringing it to a boil. Once boiling, cover and remove from heat, letting them sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Cool the eggs in ice water, then peel them carefully.
  3. Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks.
  4. In a bowl, mash the yolks and mix with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture.
  6. For a creepy effect, use black olives to create spider shapes on top of the filled eggs.
  7. If desired, add a few drops of red food coloring to the filling for a bloody effect.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, ensure the mayonnaise is egg-free.
  • These can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
  • Experiment with different toppings for added creepiness!
