Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, butter, powdered sugar, and salt until crumbly.
  3. Add egg yolk and orange juice, mix until dough forms.
  4. Press the dough into a tart pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. In a saucepan, combine cranberries and granulated sugar over medium heat until cranberries burst.
  6. In a bowl, whisk eggs, then add melted butter and orange zest.
  7. Stir in the cranberry mixture and pour into the baked tart shell.
  8. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set.
  9. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with whipped cream for added richness.
  • Can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
