Description

Cranberry bliss bars are a delicious dessert that combines the tartness of cranberries with the sweetness of white chocolate and a creamy frosting, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the cranberries and white chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bars cool completely in the pan.
  10. In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and orange zest until smooth.
  11. Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled bars and cut into squares.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, sprinkle additional cranberries on top of the frosting.
  • These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • Feel free to substitute dried cranberries with other dried fruits if desired.
