Sausage & Peppers

Description

A classic, easy-to-make dinner featuring browned sausage and sautéed peppers with bold flavors and minimal fuss.


Ingredients

1 pound Italian sausage links
3 bell peppers (red, yellow, green), sliced
1 large onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Optional: crusty rolls or cooked pasta for serving


Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add sausage links and cook until browned on all sides, about 7-8 minutes. Remove and slice into pieces.
In the same skillet, add onions and bell peppers. Sauté until soft and slightly caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
Add garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute until fragrant.
Return sliced sausage to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
Serve hot on its own, over pasta, rice, or in a sandwich.
