Description
Quick and flavorful Mongolian-inspired beef meatballs that come together in just half an hour.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
In a bowl, mix ground beef, garlic, ginger, green onions, cornstarch, and black pepper until combined.
Form mixture into 16 meatballs and set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and water.
Pour sauce over meatballs in the skillet and cook for another 3-5 minutes, stirring gently, until sauce thickens and coats the meatballs.
Serve immediately over rice or noodles.
