Description

Delicious cinnamon rolls that are soft and melt in your mouth, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast, let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture and mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter over it.
  7. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar evenly on top.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 equal pieces.
  9. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  11. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make icing and drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add nuts or raisins to the filling.
  • These rolls can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
