Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup finely ground coffee
  • 1/4 cup rum or coffee liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Additional powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract and rum or coffee liqueur.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, ground coffee, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are firm.
