Description

A comforting chili recipe perfect for warming you up during the cold winter months.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
  2. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, and paprika, cooking for an additional minute.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, beef broth, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Feel free to add more vegetables like corn or zucchini for extra nutrition.
  • This chili can be made ahead of time and tastes even better the next day.
