Description
A delicious and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken cooked in a garlic butter sauce, served over a bed of creamy garlic parmesan rice.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 2 cups water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Meanwhile, in a separate pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the rice, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
- Once the sauce is ready, return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
- Serve the chicken over the garlic parmesan rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Feel free to substitute the chicken with shrimp for a seafood variation.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
