Description

A delicious and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken cooked in a garlic butter sauce, served over a bed of creamy garlic parmesan rice.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Meanwhile, in a separate pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the rice, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
  7. Once the sauce is ready, return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
  8. Serve the chicken over the garlic parmesan rice, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Feel free to substitute the chicken with shrimp for a seafood variation.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
