Cheesy Party Taquitos are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that will impress your guests at any gathering.
Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 12 small flour tortillas
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheese, cooked chicken, cream cheese, green onions, garlic powder, and cumin.
- Warm the tortillas slightly to make them pliable.
- Place a generous amount of the cheese mixture in the center of each tortilla.
- Roll the tortillas tightly and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the taquitos until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with salsa or guacamole.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, omit the chicken.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before frying.
