Description

Cheesy Party Taquitos are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that will impress your guests at any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 12 small flour tortillas
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheese, cooked chicken, cream cheese, green onions, garlic powder, and cumin.
  2. Warm the tortillas slightly to make them pliable.
  3. Place a generous amount of the cheese mixture in the center of each tortilla.
  4. Roll the tortillas tightly and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the taquitos until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with salsa or guacamole.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the chicken.
